Rossi-Wallace is a small label Ric Forman owns with his wife, Cheryl Emmolo. The 2016 Pinot Noir, from Antinori's Antica Vineyard, is absolutely delicious. Floral and nicely lifted, with striking bright red fruit, the 2016 is a model of poise and total finesse. Best of all, this gracious, super-polished wine is a fabulous value in American Pinot Noir.

Ric Forman er ved at være en sand veteran med snart 50 år I vinbranchen I Napa. I årtier kendt for at produce Cabernet Sauvignon i absolut topniveau hvor balance og terroir har højeste focus. Sammen med hans kone Cheryl Emmolo præsenterer han nu markedet for to nye vine – en Pinot Noir og en Chardonnay som bærer navnet på deres mødre – Rossi Wallace. Her er tale om mikroproduktion – 830 kasser med Pinot og 251 kasser med Chardonnay og begge vine udtrykker friskheden I frugten og meget beskeden brug af fad.

Pinot is such a friendly drink and our 2016 certainly falls into that category. Rich and seductive aromas of plum compote and ripe strawberry blend beautifully with a pleasant toasty oak background. All of these components are going to meld beautifully with just a bit more age. We love the flavors; warm and smooth – not arough edge exists! This is just “so Pinot” and why it is so often the “go to” wine.
