Their proprietary red, the 2014 Proprietary Red High Fidelity, is a blend of 65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot. Ratcheting up the level of richness, density and intensity, this wine offers blueberry and mocha, as well as plenty of floral notes intermixed with cassis and blueberry. It is beautifully rendered and full-bodied, with not a hard edge to it. The velvety tannins, the silky texture and the full-bodied richness and finish suggest a wine that can be drunk now or cellared for another 20 or more years.
Cliff Lede Vineyards has been on a fabulous qualitative roll for a number of years and they continue to build on their success that truly started from their debut releases.
