Red Car Chardonnay Sonoma Coast 2012 0,75
Pale gold. Pungent aromas of orange zest, poached pear and iodine, with a subtle floral overtone. The palate offers spicy orchard and citrus fruit flavors and suggestions of ginger and chamomile, with a minerally nuance adding lift. The mineral note lingers on the nicely delineated, persistent finish.
Red Car Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2012 0,75
Galloni 88-89PDark red cherries, tobacco, wild flowers, licorice and leather meld together in the 2012 Pinot Noir. Soft, supple and accessible, the 2012 is an excellent choice for drinking over the next year. Hints of star anise and orange peel add an element of intrigue on the perfumed, expressive finish. The 2012 was fermented with 10% whole clusters, which are already nicely balanced. The Sonoma Coast Pinot is a blend of 90% purchased fruit and 10% estate fruit.
Red Car Rosé of Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2014 Magnum
The release of the 2014 Red Car Rosé of Pinot Noir is upon us. Harvested at a cool 21 brix and immediately whole cluster pressed, our dry and aromatic Rosé is a true vin gris, fermented like a white wine without skin or seed contact. In 2014, the wine is bone dry at 12.7% alcohol, in a dashingly light shade of pale melon-pink and with an aromatic pro le of tangerine oil, pink grapefruit, and bing cherries. Cool-climate West Sonoma Coast vineyards give the wine its hallmark style, with the biodynamically-farmed Bybee Vineyard in Sebastopol Hills making up the backbone for this wine.
Red Car Syrah Sonoma Coast 2012 0,75
The 2012 Syrah (Sonoma Coast) is quite dark and powerful in style. Black stone fruits, smoke, leather, game and wild herbs open up in the glass with air. There is good immediacy and my sense is that the 2012 will drink well for at least a handful of years. The Sonoma Coast Syrah is mostly fruit from Zio Tony Ranch and Red Car's Estate vineyard in Fort Ross-Seaview.
