Ojai Vineyard Chardonnay Solomon Hills 2014 0,75
A site that continues to blow me away, the Solomon Hills Vineyard is located in the Santa Maria Valley and is within sight of the Pacific Ocean. Adam's 2014 Chardonnay Solomon Hills gives up rock-star notes of white peach, honey blossom and white flowers to go with an incredibly pure, layered and balanced feel on the palate. Its fruit, acidity and alcohol and perfectly integrated and this beauty shines on its stunning purity of fruit. It's another wine I find hard to resist currently, yet will be better next year and shine for 5-7 years at a minimum.
Ojai Vineyard Pinot Noir Bien Nacido 2013 0,75

More classic in style than the Clone 22, the 2013 Pinot Noir Bien Nacido Vineyard has lots of black raspberry, flowers and crushed-rock nuances as well as a full, layered, beautifully textured feel on the palate. I normally find something masculine and mineral-laced from this vineyard, but this 2013 is all polish and elegance, with rocking purity of fruit. I'd drink it over the coming 4-5 years, but I suspect it will still be delicious at age 10 as well.
Ojai Vineyard Syrah Bien Nacido 2013 0,75
The 2013 Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyard is pure class. Rich, seamless and inviting, yet with vibrant beams of salinity and tannin beneath, the 2013 stands out because of its impeccable balance. Nothing is out of place. Cool-climate peppery, gamy notes add an attractive upper-register. Lavender, violets and inky blue/purplish fruit are infused into the layered, vivid finish. With time in the glass, the 2013 develops a super-appealing feel of vertical structure. The 2013 is very young. It is also very beautiful.
Ojai Vineyard Syrah Roll Ranch 2012 0,75
Robert Parker 94P
Riper, fleshier, and more hedonistic than the '11 (but not as much as the differences in the vintage would have you believe), the 2012 Syrah Roll Ranch is a beautiful wine that's loaded with notions of sweet cassis, blackberries, chocolate, mulled spice and underbrush. Ripe, sexy and opulent, with no hard edges and a great finish, it's about as voluptuous and textured as Adam's wines get today. In addition, the purity and polish to the fruit and tannin are exceptional. These traits are present in almost all of the new releases from Adam and Fabien, and while it gives their wines a slightly upfront, easy appeal in their youth, they'll age beautifully given their harmony and balance. Drink this superb Central Coast Syrah over the coming decade.
Ojai Vineyard Syrah Santa Barbara 2014 0,75
Adam's entry-level Syrah is the 2014 Syrah Santa Barbara County and it's a year in, year out sensational value. It's ruby/purple color is followed by textbook black and blue fruits, violets, salty minerality and cracked pepper-like aromatics. Medium to full-bodied, ripe, textured and seamless, with nicely integrated acidity and a full mid-palate, drink this pure, balanced beauty over the coming 4-5 years.
